Completing Workshop – One – In Caldwell Today
Related to country: Liberia

After three weeks, today we have finalized first the training session of over 10 children from the Caldwell Community and surrounding areas.

These kids were selected from five different schools to benefit the hands on ICT and entrepreneurship training which of course have had a greater impact in their lives.

Entering the TIG/ACPI-CLCWA-Liberia Telecentre today all participants were tested for what they have learned over the six days.

Identifying the physical components of the PC and what’s on their screens and how to create some for themselves where among others. The kids were just happy doing it so better, though it still seems hard for some as they struggle to accomplish certain challenging task.

The good thing is that some off them have just seen it for the first time and can even us it now to do a peace of job for them. They were able to create accounts and join TIG yesterday, so today they are posting their comments and blogs about how they feel about the program.

The situation for many youths here in this country is still difficult. Since we had the first Open forum, some of the participants who came up to now are not yet able to sign up to TIG. We are still working on helping to use the Telecentre as a means to help other Networked Organizations and members join and teach them how to make use of the TIG page and tools also.

As the publicity is out for the Social Enterprise and Media competition, other promotional materials have been posted around to, to encourage and allow more and more youth gain access to this wonderful opportunity.

We encourage all organizations to submit names of participants for the Next workshop.

More appreciations to TIG, our Global Coordinator and officials in Canada.

Welcome…

LIBERIA-CLCWA-A Dream Come True
Translations available in: English (original) | French

As i said earlier,
The TIG Program in Liberia is moving very strong and there is a need to as for many suggestions and contributions on how we can better make use of this simple opportunity given us all to transform our future and for the generations after us.......!

It is a big plus for the enforcing successes we enjoy and the many
excitements after several connections that are underway. I can see
"SMILES" on the faces of many children as they sat in the CLCWA-Liberia
Telecentre, touching and some seeing computers for their first time.

It is an unforgettable experience and one child in the Caldwell
community said to me ; "Brother Thomas, i really Thank God for the people who
brought about this school". I love them and i can sense some cheers in
their faces each day we appear for class.

For me, the TIG Platform have been a best ground for me since my
internet experience. I think we got more to discover with the new revamp of
TIG.

Let's Work ALL.......
